Discovering the Mathieu Family Winery in Valais
During my recent journey through Switzerland, I personally visited Jean Louis Mathieu SA, met the lovely Mathieu family, tasted their wines and explored their well-maintained vineyards to understand the influence of different terroirs on their character.
I selected four wines for our Swiss portfolio at Selection Hermann Hofmann: Sauvignon Blanc 2025, Petite Arvine 2024, Païen-Heida 2025 and Pinot Noir Champfleuri 2025.
Combining family tradition, artisan winemaking and recognition in international wine competitions, Mathieu represents exactly what I look for when selecting wines: authenticity, quality and a genuine connection to their origin.
Having enjoyed the wines with Raclette — a Swiss speciality we have proudly imported to Hong Kong for more than ten years — I am delighted to bring another taste of Switzerland to our customers.
