Gatt Wines is synonymous with excellence in the Barossa, winning more than 50 trophies and 600 gold medals at prestigious international competitions.
Having acquired the long established High Eden winery and vineyard in 2006, and the historic Barossa Valley property shortly thereafter, the restoration of these old vineyards by Ray Gatt has heralded a new era for the 57 hectare estate.
The High Eden vineyard, initially planted in 1972, is at the pinnacle of the Eden Valley, with fresh breezes developing unique layers of flavour and characteristic intensity in the wines. The cool climate riesling, cabernet sauvignon, and shiraz are elegant expressions of a refined style and are held in high regard for their restrained power.
Also established in 1972, the iconic Gatt vineyard stretches across central Barossa Valley in pristine and immaculately curated rows. Celebrated for wines that gradually reveal their complexities over time, this site is home to the highly awarded Gatt Shiraz.
The winemaking and viticulture teams have over 100 years of combined experience. Their talents deliver premium single-variety benchmark wines with a proven track record for longevity. Premium quality oak barrels and gentle winemaking only enhance the class of the vineyards.
With nine grape varieties planted in two vineyards in distinct microclimates, Gatt Wines has a broad wine portfolio.
Six Gatt wines have been awarded Barossa Trust Marks. These are marks of the highest standard set by the Barossa region and provide consumers with a guarantee of authenticity and quality.
