At the foot of Château d'Aigle, which houses the Museum of Vine and Wine, the founder of Maison Henri Badoux was one of the first to try his hand at growing a red grape variety in Chablais.
After replacing the apple trees with Pinot Noir grapes in 1950, it took nearly 10 years to vinify the first bottles of Pourpre Monseigneur.
We only sell the wine in case of 6 bottles.
